December finds me making winter door garlands and table decorations.
A framework of red dogwood, with silver birch stems woven through, created an open weave basket, which was then filled with foliage offcuts from my garden. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole design process, and will definitely make one for myself.

Last year Twigs, foliage and wire showed the practicalities of how to make a door wreath – why not check it out ?
I hope the following images inspire you to have a go at making one, for yourself. Believe me, they are not difficult to make, you just need an hour or two, a selection of foliage , flexible florists wire, and stems. I particularly like using contorted hazel and willow in my design, as they are really flexible, and help to create a 3 dimensional effect.

With 2021 coming to its end, I wish you all a great Christmas, and many thanks for reading my blog this year.
2022 will find me blogging about my new allotment and cut flower beds.

Love the blog. Up early to make mince pies and a festive swag! Xxxx

Thanks Lou, Time to make my own table decoration- it’s not going to be minimalist, I’m thinking maximalist ! X
