On the 17th June 2018 I created a floral tribute on the dining room table in our family home. It was essentially a narrative of Dad’s life. As a design prerequisite it was essential to depict strength in character and be handsome in appearance, just like our Dad was.
Orange Hawkbit use to grow in vast tracks down the driveway. Honeysuckle use to clamber through the Virginia creeper on the side wall. Teasels and Sea holly were a firm favourite. Twisted hazel wound its way through the entire design creating an open three dimensional structure to attach flowers with garden twine. Goats beard lived happily under the Sumach, along with the oak saplings, brambles and alliums in our back garden – all of which just had to be included.

It really was perfect, just like our Dad was x
