There is no excuse. Gardens should provide great combinations of flowers, buds and stems throughout the year.
Shropshire gardens in my care are presently full of..

Persicaria bistorta Superba and Chive

Valerian and Oxeye daisy

Oxeye daisies and Aquilega

Tellima grandiflora, Euphorbia characias wulfenni and London Pride

Aquilega and Tellima grandiflora

Brunnera macrophylla Jack Frost, strawberry leaves and Euphorbia amygdaloides robbiae

Rodgersia, Ligularia and Ferns

Gunnera manicata and Iris foliage
This coming week my Panasonic Lumix camera and I are ready to find hundreds of new and sublime combinations, as it is The Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show. We can hardly wait. Roll on the 21st !

You sometimes read about the May Gap. There is really no excuse for it, the flowers of May are wonderful as your photos show. I have recently acquired a Panasonic Luminex and I am thrilled with it. Have fun at Chelsea.
