This has definitely been a great week for perennial unfurling. As a sole trader it is just myself and the plants so thankfully no one can hear me literally saying out loud ( honestly I really do)
“Hi Fern”
“Hello Rodgersia”
“Loving your sun lit leaves epimedium“
“Glad to see you made it through the winter Gunnera”
At long last I have managed an entire working week where not one of my 35 hours has been to lost to inclement weather.
I have needed to niether scrape mud off my work boots or peel off my rain soaked gloves….
Long may this continue !

I would have been locked-up three years ago if talking to oneself and one’s plants (or any personal item) was abnormal. I am presently talking to the wind, my pepper plants and my corn seedlings 🙂

I hope you are being polite to them ! I have been wishing the onions, shallots and garlic good luck as I planted them out today.

That gunnera looks like a dinosaur hatching. Mine is coming along slowly this years. I do not know why. It looks a bit yellower than it should too.

For us in the uk the weather had been appalling for plants this winter. Quite a few plants are looking yellow. I am hoping a feed and a mulch will help them out

I talk to my seedlings, ok I know you are looking a bit pale and sickly but maybe if I pot you on and put you under the hedge you will amaze me. …….
