I took a look through an earlier blog – My 2021 garden. and thankfully the planting design ideas for this year have actually materialised into my horticultural intention , which was to create a garden which resembles a vibrant and loosely woven abstract tapestry.
I truly love spending time sitting around the garden table, taking in all the various plant combinations, as the stems and flowers of tall perennials and ornamental grasses cascade and weave all over the place . I very much hope you will also enjoy these late summer images.
I really enjoy growing garden flowers, and it all started about 30 years with some marigold seeds. I was so proud of my horticultural achievement, and carefully grew them on and planted them out. Needless to say by the following day, they had been demolished by snails , and were little more than stumps. Thankfully I remained undeterred and carried on, so here are a few new additions to the garden I grew from seed this year. Namely Tithonia rotundifolia ‘The Torch’ and some new Dahlias.
