This is my last blog from our present home . As after seventeen years, we are picking our containers up and heading down the road to Much Wenlock in Shropshire.
I am so glad that last year, I created what I can quite happily say was my perfect garden whilst living in Linley. Why was it perfect ? I just couldn’t beleive how good the newly constructed concrete breeze block beds looked , they really were a very practical finishing touch . They were also the simplest way to make a raised bed . All I had to was set them out on our paved yard , and then empty out many of my containers into them . The plants just literally grew away so well , as they were no longer contained ( who would have thought that !?)
In addition to this , as I garden using the no dig method , I didn’t need to water anything . If you are a little unsure on what no dig is , here is a link to a blog from a few years back . No Dig .
I was just really entirely content, with how it all looked , and spent a lot of time just sitting at the garden table , just looking out into my garden , without feeling the need to leap up and amend anything . So that is why I was perfectly happy .

I leave our old home repleat in my present gardening happiness and excited in that my new garden is presently mainly to turf at the back and block paved at the front ( but not for long ) I have so many new planting ideas for our new garden.

I bumped into, one of my gardening customers in our new ( very ) local take away on Friday night , who expressed “ that’s going to be a fantastic gardening project for you Sally, what are you going to do with it ? “ With this in mind , my blog will shortly have a new page with regular updates about our new garden at no 26 . Why not join me on my next gardening and design adventure ?

As you can see from the above images our old garden is very much containerised , As we decided to bring most of our garden with us , we bought a very useful and very bright orange sack truck . I am very taken with the colour orange in design work , and it will definitely, find its way in , through flower , seed, berry or stem

And on the move , big scale !

So , it’s now time to get designing and planting our new garden. A new blog will be along shortly.
If you were moving , which of your plants would you bring from your old garden ?
