With our  luggage weighing in at just under 7 kg , my sister and I swung our bags over our shoulders and set off  for Australia. It is fair to say we travelled light.

 

 

With a stop over  in  Singapore we headed to the Supertree Grove in Gardens by the Bay.   To  be amongst these huge structures  on The Skyway tree top walk was incredible.

They are mesmerising, they are beautiful, and as the trees light up the night sky  I was filled with childlike wonderment and joy.

 

 

Photovoltaic cells  in the tops of the trees capture solar energy, which  then lights  the Supertrees.   This is  the most futuristic light installation I have ever seen,  it is sensational.

 

 

Looking  skywards is  pretty spectacular  too.
