Since my first blog post, over six years ago, the vast majority of images have been taken with my Panasonic digital camera. I never go to work without it. It truly is a great camera.
I thought I would try something new, so this week I have used my iPhone. I hope you enjoy these late autumnal images in all their ripened, frozen, rain soaked, gourd and sun filled beauty.
Throughout the year, I often wonder which image will end up as my overall favourite ? This has gone straight in at number one.

Why ? I really liked how the lichen covered stems of the Rowan divided up the image, which in turn gave visual clarity to the three blocks of the autumn foliage of Helianthus Lemon Queen. And finally ! I loved the extremely vibrant pop of colour from the Fuchsia flower.
Today I caught the late afternoon autumnal light through the velvet like stem of Tithonia rotundifolia “Torch”. This leapt straight into second place, for my image of the year. I now know my iPhone will be a regular contributor to future blogs !
