I offered to make some floral designs for an art exhibition.
Having never constructed such large arrangements before, several online tutorials were viewed. My main concern, was that they would topple over, due to the amount of plant material involved , thankfully this was not the case. They took around 5 hours to create, and I truly enjoyed every minute of the design process.
Apart apart from buying ten chrysanthemums , all the flowers were cut from my customers gardens ( and yes, I did ask permission first )

Cutting fabulous flowers from the garden borders (for the cafe) at Wildegoose nursery continues – http://www.wildegoosenursery.co.uk As you can see Wildegoose flowers are never dull.

And whilst I’m writing about Wildegoose, these two images just had to be included.

And finally , I made this floral arrangement for a great friend.

The more floral arrangements I create, the more I realise that being a gardener and florist really is the perfect profession for me.

Few people can honestly say they love their day job. You are very lucky and amazing at flower arranging. I am very jealous; my efforts are always rather pathetic. Well done, Sally.
