As it all becomes soggy, damp and cold, there comes a point every November when I muse over why I chose to make my profession practical horticulture.
What spurs me on, is the fact that there are twelve Shropshire gardens to get ready for 2016; which is going to be the year for even less of the mundane. I am on the hunt for Persicaria,Verbena, Kniphofia, and dropping the occasional black currant bush into the borders.
Once kitted out to be warm and dry I can get on with the serious business of gardening and plant photography. I am fascinated by the demise of plants.
